MISCELLANEOUS
April 2010: To my delight, the Oskar & Strudel show makes a welcome comeback to the world's stages. Premierring in Hungary in May the inimitable duo then head to Germany, Spain, Portugal and Belgium. For additional information: Oskar & Strudel on Face Book
June 2009:
The tour brings me to Arkhangelsk, Russia and the incredible adventure to be found here. It serves both as a break and a reminder of the intense and incredible experience that is touring. The party has been going every night for a week...an there is no night ! I hope for more of Russia soon.
September 2008:
The summer tour rolls on. 64 shows in July alone make for much travel. Trains, planes,. automobiles, taxis, trams, rickshaws, bicycles....and legs ! A small price to pay for the delight of being lost in the world. A short tour in Japan leads to a bigger season there in 2009 as well as South Korea and Taiwan. The re-work of "All Aboard" has done more than imaginable. Now the south of France and Spain to get the last of the European summer. "The world is small.....if you travel far enough".
April 2008:
And now the European summer tour starts....with snow !The first full theatre version of "All Aboard" was met with great enthusiasm in the delightful theatre of Clermont L'Herault in France. Plans are to return there in 2009 for an extended stay....perhaps to develop "A Day at The Theatre". A residency !
Then it was off to Antwerp to teach a creativity and play masterclass to some of Belgiums' finest circus and street artists. An intensive week which also served as the first of four workshops supported by the Flemish Circus Centre to be conducted over 2008. If all goes to plan, a performance project will result. And if that goes according to plan, then the workshops will become an annual event.
A brief two week stop-over in Gdansk serves as a break before the big road trip of 2008 starts in earnest. Release the pidgeons !
December 2007:
"All Aboard" opened on the 14th of november 2007 to a huge response
and rave reviews. "Utterly hilarious, sweet and never failing to
impress, Greder’s show is as close to perfect as I’ve seen
in quite some time" wrote Australian Stage (click All
Aboard Reviews to download a PDF of this and other reviews).
Many heartfelt thanks to Scott, Rachel, Andrew and Jonathon for helping
me to find the story I needed to...and to Metro Arts for helping me to
share it.
Following the season, Arts Hub asked me to complete an Career Profile for their website. Click the following link to view the transcript and learn a bit more about my creative journey and motivations: Career Profile: Arts Hub.
